Joyce joined Elam & Burke in 2019. Her litigation practice focuses on consumer and commercial claims, as well as insurance defense involving professional liability, products liability, auto accidents, construction defects, premises liability and other torts. Joyce also handles contract disputes and insurance coverage matters. She represents individuals, corporations and insurers throughout Idaho in arbitration and in state and federal court.
Before entering private practice in 2006, Joyce served as law clerk for Idaho District Judge Joel D. Horton in Ada County. While studying at William & Mary Law School, she was a summer law clerk to U.S. District Judge Richard L. Voorhees in North Carolina, extern for the Virginia Court of Appeals Chief Staff Attorney, and Articles Editor for the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. With a degree in journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill, she excels in legal writing and enjoys putting her skills to work for her clients.
Joyce shares her life outside the practice of law with her husband (an Idaho native and also a lawyer), two young children and three dogs. She enjoys family camping trips, hiking and outdoor concerts.
