Jaclyn T. Gans
Ms. Gans is a commercial litigator who represents clients in complex business litigation, employment, and construction matters. She also has an active trust litigation, insurance, and product liability defense practice. Through exceptional written work product and oral advocacy, Ms. Gans has obtained positive results for her clients in state and federal district courts in Idaho, and before the Idaho Supreme Court.
With regard to non-litigation matters, Ms. Gans advises employers who need assistance responding to Idaho Human Rights Commission or Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaints, drafting employee handbooks, or navigating difficult personnel issues. In addition, she routinely reviews construction and real estate contracts and provides guidance to contractors, businesses, and individuals.
Ms. Gans joined Elam & Burke in 2014 and became a shareholder in 2020. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gans clerked for the Honorable Jim Jones of the Idaho Supreme Court. She later clerked for the Honorable B. Lynn Winmill, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Idaho.
Ms. Gans was raised in Idaho. She obtained her B.A. from California State University, Fullerton, where she was a 4-year member of the Division I women’s soccer team. Ms. Gans received her J.D. from the University of Idaho.
