Jaclyn Gans specializes in commercial litigation, employment law, and trust and fiduciary disputes, and has built a reputation for her dedication, expertise, and results-driven approach. Jaclyn became a shareholder in 2020, and joined the firm’s Executive Committee in 2021.

Clients turn to Jaclyn for her thorough, strategic, and collaborative approach. She ensures they are well-informed and equipped to make the right decisions for themselves or for their business. Jaclyn’s litigation practice is diverse, with experience in construction defect, product liability, and bad faith cases. Her exceptional written and oral advocacy skills have led to successful outcomes in both state and federal district courts in Idaho, and in front of the Idaho Supreme Court.

Though primarily a litigator, Jaclyn also provides counsel to businesses, helping them navigate complex personnel issues, comply with employment laws, and review and draft contracts or corporate documents.

Raised in Emmett, Idaho, Jaclyn’s professional ethos is deeply rooted in her Basque heritage and the values of her family. Imbued with a strong sense of hard work, resilience, and practicality from an early age, these attributes are evident in her legal practice today.

She obtained her undergraduate degree at California State University, Fullerton, where she was a four-year member of the women’s Division I soccer team. Jaclyn thereafter obtained her law degree at the University of Idaho. Her work ethic and determination—shaped and refined over years on the soccer field—helped land her post-law school clerkships with the Honorable Jim Jones of the Idaho Supreme Court, and later with the Honorable B. Lynn Winmill, then-Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Idaho.

Outside of her professional commitments, Jaclyn enjoys all that Boise has to offer, alongside her husband and son.
