Dee Jones, a native Idahoan and passionate legal professional, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to Elam & Burke.
Prior to joining Elam & Burke, Dee worked as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Andrea L. Courtney of the Third Judicial District. During law school, Dee participated in Moot Court and was a member of the Idaho Law Review where he served as a Spotlight Editor. Dee was also a law clerk extern for Idaho Supreme Court Justice, Robyn Brody, a summer law clerk for the district judges in Idaho’s Third Judicial District, externed with the Ada County Public Defender’s Office, and interned for both a family law firm and criminal defense firm.
Dee’s strong legal research and writing skills have been consistently recognized, earning recognition for appellate briefs, regional awards, and publications in the Idaho Law Review. In addition to exceptional writing skills, Dee is highly regarded for effective communication and quick thinking, which is exemplified by Dee’s involvement on a Moot Court team that went to the regional finals at the NAAC Moot Court Competition.
Having grown up in Treasure Valley, Dee is committed to serving the local community. Complementing his technical skills is a deep commitment to pro bono service. This passion began during a 2017 internship with the Idaho State Bar, where Dee witnessed firsthand the impact and importance of pro bono legal work. He has since dedicated several hundred hours of his time to pro bono service and continues to volunteer at local legal clinics after being admitted to the Idaho State Bar.
When not at Elam & Burke, Dee enjoys traveling with his fiancé, Liz, or lounging with their two dogs, and outdoor activities such as hunting, camping, boating, dirt biking, and exercising.
