Jed is a seasoned litigator specializing in product liability, real property title disputes, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and business disputes. With extensive experience in representing creditors in bankruptcy cases, he excels in representing bankruptcy trustees in uncovering hidden assets and handling collections for creditors. Jed also represents insured parties in title insurance disputes and manages product liability defenses.
Growing up in Eastern Idaho, Jed’s journey to law began as a cheese maker being trained by his father. Next, to the classroom, teaching math and coaching at South Fremont HS. A two-time high school state wrestling champion and college wrestler, Jed later transitioned into law, driven by a fascination with business relations. After earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho in 1982, he clerked for Honorable Robert E. Bakes at the Idaho Supreme Court from 1983 to 1985.
Jed’s background in education and wrestling instilled a discipline and focus that he brings to his legal practice. As a former special deputy attorney general for Idaho and a trained cheese maker, Jed’s diverse experiences enrich his legal and business insight. Over his nearly 40 years with Evans Keane, Jed has honed his skills in litigation, allowing him to successfully manage complex commercial disputes and bankruptcy cases. Jed’s notable accomplishments include numerous reported cases in the Idaho Bankruptcy Court.
Outside the courtroom, Jed is an active member of the Idaho State Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Idaho and the United States Circuit Court, Ninth Circuit. His professional achievements are complemented by lectures and instructional roles in various legal seminars, highlighting his commitment to sharing his knowledge with others.
Beyond his legal practice, Jed is deeply involved in his community. He has rendered 20+ years of service to the Boy Scouts of America and Little League Baseball. He maintains a popular YouTube channel featuring family home movies and wrestling videos, which has garnered just under 100,000 views. Balancing his professional life with personal interests, Jed remains connected to his roots, contributing to the community both as a lawyer and a mentor.
