As an associate at Elam & Burke, Daniel Fredrickson draws on a unique blend of legal and financial expertise to support clients through complex matters. As a former Certified Public Accountant, he offers clients a unique perspective, particularly when it comes to cases that involve financial complexities. His primary focus areas include civil litigation and complex business litigation.
Daniel grew up in Boise, Idaho. He earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Corban University in Oregon and then pursued a career as a CPA. Despite a successful five years in accounting, he always knew that his true calling was in the legal field. Daniel attended the University of Idaho College of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude. During law school, he was a standout member of the Idaho Law Review and the Moot Court team, and he earned multiple CALI awards for his academic excellence. After law school, Daniel clerked for the Idaho Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court in Idaho, where he had the opportunity to work with both Justice John Stegner and Judge Amanda Brailsford.
Daniel’s experiences in the Idaho courts have honed his litigation skills and solidified his dedication to courtroom advocacy. He particularly enjoys cases that involve a financial component, where his CPA background proves invaluable. His time clerking allowed him to witness firsthand the human aspects of trial court, inspiring his empathetic approach to clients dealing with challenging legal issues. In addition to his primary practice areas, Daniel also assists with cases involving general liability and business associations, applying his business acumen to advise clients on a range of legal matters. Throughout his professional career, Daniel has been recognized for his leadership and commitment to excellence, and he continues to expand his expertise in business-related legal issues.
Outside of his legal practice, Daniel is an avid mountain biker and backpacker, often spending weekends exploring Idaho’s wilderness with his wife. He enjoys baking sourdough bread and drinking tea. Daniel is proud to call Boise his home and values the opportunity to contribute to his community through his work at Elam & Burke.
