Elam & Burke shareholder Joe Pirtle was selected by the Idaho State Bar Board of Commissioners as the 2015 Outstanding Young Lawyer for his “service to the profession, the Idaho State Bar, Idaho Law Foundation, and to the community and who exhibits professional excellence,” according to the nomination. He is the past chairperson of the Idaho State Bar Litigation Section and participated in the Idaho Academy of Leadership for Lawyers as an inaugural class member. Joe has served on the Lawyer Assistance Program Committee since 2010 and is a member of both the Idaho Association of Defense Counsel and the Oregon Association of Defense Council.
Joe practices civil litigation at Elam & Burke with a focus on commercial and business litigation and insurance defense. He is also a volunteer lawyer for the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline and regularly performs pro bono work for court-appointed guardians ad litem through the Court Appointed Special Advocate Program.
