A native of Southeast Idaho, Tom’s journey to law was guided by his deep sense of justice. After graduating from the University of Idaho, where he was a member of the University’s Track and Field Team, Tom ventured back east to law school in the heart of the nation – Washington, D.C. After graduation, he returned home and has practiced in Boise ever since. His experience has culminated in his current shareholder position at Elam & Burke, where he handles a broad spectrum of practice areas. His ability to connect with individuals and small businesses on a personal level allows him to provide legal advice that is directly aligned with their business goals.
Respected for his professionalism and skill in the courtroom, Tom has practiced throughout Idaho, as well as in Washington, Oregon, California, Michigan and Wisconsin. Aside from his skills in the courtroom, Tom is equally known for his resilience. This is exemplified by his commitment to running at least one mile every day since his son’s birth in 2011 — a testament to the same unwavering dedication he extends to his clients. Just as with each new daily run, Tom eagerly approaches the new (and sometimes obscure) challenges that his clients’ individual situations present.
Outside the office, Tom is an active community supporter, contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing Boise’s livability. He’s a nature enthusiast, often exploring Idaho’s wilderness with his family, running on Boise’s trails, and enjoying the city’s vibrant culture.
